Former Scrap Metal Facility Cleanup

FTN was contracted to perform a limited Phase 2 site investigation of a 9 acre site located in the Little Rock Port that had been used for a scrap metal processing and storage facility for 14 years. FTN then assisted the client and the facility operator to negotiate an acceptable cleanup work plan with the site owner, the Little Rock Port Authority.In addition, FTN designed the pre-excavation waste characterization strategy and provided oversight of the cleanup contractor activities. The reclamation activities successfully cleaned up the site to levels lower than those agreed upon for TPH, metals and PCBs. After verification that the cleanup activities had removed the contaminated soils and materials, the site was graded and prepared for reuse.
