American Burying Beetle Survey

FTN conducted a large scale American Burying Beetle survey for a proposed electric transmission line. The beetle is an endangered species. The project consisted of a nearly 100-mile proposed electronic transmission corridor that spanned Choctaw, Bryan, and Johnston Counties in Oklahoma.

FTN provided ABB surveys along portions of the project corridor within Choctaw County, Oklahoma. A total of 21 transects consisting of eight baited pitfall traps were established within the project corridor in Choctaw County.
