Site Investigation / Remediation / Brownfields

FTN has the capabilities, expertise, and long-term experience to provide guidance in complying with federal and state regulations governing site investigation and cleanup activities at sites regulated under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), or such activities that are addressed through property transactions, Brownfield programs, and voluntary cleanup agreements. We have a long history of working successfully with communities, private developers, industries, the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality and EPA. We have performed numerous Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, and we have conducted several Comprehensive Site Assessments.

Services

Phase I/II Property Assessments
We perform these assessments to evaluate environmental issues at a site. If a Phase I ESA identifies potential contamination of the site by hazardous materials, a Phase II ESA may be conducted. The Phase II ESA includes sampling and analysis to verify the presence of hazardous materials.
Hydrogeologic Investigation/Contaminant Assessment
This is a study of the subsurface hydrologic and geologic conditions. FTN collects data about the type and thickness of geologic materials, the occurrence of groundwater, how it flows in pore spaces and/or fractures, the quality of the groundwater, and what can be expected at wells.
RCRA Groundwater Monitoring/Permitting/Corrective Action
Groundwater monitoring requirements represent the last line of defense for preventing hazardous substances from contaminating other areas. That’s the reason monitoring must be implemented and corrective action must be initiated.
Remediation Recommendations and Design
FTN’s environmental professionals have extensive experience designing successful remediation plans for contaminated sites.
QA/QC – 3rd Party Oversight
Quality Assurance/Quality Control performed by our highly experienced technicians helps assure that the necessary work is being done by the contractors according to specifications.
Brownfield Redevelopment
FTN’s experts have successfully completed Brownfields projects for cities, counties, and other public entities. Brownfields projects are designed to safely clean up and sustainably reuse contaminated properties.
SARA Title III
The federal Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA) became law in 1986. Title III is also known as the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA).
